Grand
by Diana Dark

I wish I could forget him
I wish I could look back but I can not
To see him one more time
To hold him like good times
His hand would hold to mine
Making moments last in memory
Forever for his hand was rich
With years of wisdom,
It was raw upon my cotton fingers.
Could not make my childhood better
Even if he remained fire on ice.
I miss to know him as he was
To know the genius in his eyes
To realize that he knew all
And all he knew he could achieve
He did and lost in void and sea
Was all.

In the memory of my grandfather.
